HUEVOS CON MACHACA

Machaca

Eggs

Onion

Tomato

Serrano pepper

This is a very popular recipe in the northern areas of Mexico.🇲🇽 Machaca is a beef that has been marinated, cooked, shredded, and then dried. My Dad’s family is from Sonora. My grandma will always bring back home to Leon, the best machaca and flour tortillas and she would make burritos for us. That, my friend, is a spectacular meal!
STEP 1
Heat a skillet and add oil.
STEP 2
Chop onion and saute until translucent.
STEP 3
Add the tomatoes, serrano peppers and a little salt. Cook for 3 minutes (machaca is very salty so you don’t need a lot of it).
STEP 4
Add the machaca and mix well.
STEP 5
Pour in the eggs and mix well, stir frequently until the eggs are cooked.
STEP 6
Serve immediately with a good salsa and tortillas of course!
